What this is, why we do it, and why it matters.
The Tom Jeffas Food Pantry is an annual food drive run by the Jeffas family in memory of Tom Jeffas. Every July, around what would have been Tom's birthday, his children and grandchildren come together to raise money and collect food for people in need in their community.
Tom dedicated the last 15 years of his life to running the food pantry at his parish. He showed up, he did the work, and he made sure no one in his community went hungry. This drive exists to carry that forward.
Every dollar raised goes directly to purchasing food for families through Our Lady of Hope House in Flemington, New Jersey. No overhead, no administrative costs. One hundred percent to food.
This is bigger than one family or one man. The values behind this drive, service, community, heart, and putting others first, belong to anyone who has ever looked around their neighborhood and asked, "What can I do?" Tom Jeffas lived those values every day. You do not need to have known him to share them.
Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, whether you buy a box of cereal off the Amazon list or mail a check, you are part of something that makes a real difference in real people's lives. That is what Tom would have wanted.
Last year, the Jeffas family raised $12,000 through this drive. That money went directly to stocking the pantry shelves and feeding families in the Flemington area. This year, the goal is $15,000.
Our 2026 drive runs from Father's Day, June 21, through Tom's birthday, July 25.
